A huge congratulations to John (Y7) for achieving a brilliant 29th out of 59 competitors at Saturday's Wiltshire Schools Cross Country event in Chippenham. The standard of athletes at this competition is extremely high - some will eventually qualify for Nationals. For John to finish in the top half is an exceptional achievement. We are very proud of you, John! A true inspiration for other students!
Year 10 - Star of the Week My star of the week is Shane Prince. Since returning Shane has received 45 house points, yesterday achieving the highest in the Academy for the day! Shane excels in his preparation for school, always having the correct equipment and uniform, setting the standard for his education. Particularly, Shane continues to do well in History and Science collecting over half of his house points from these two subjects. Teachers continue to make comment that Shane's effort and recall of knowledge is excellent across all of his subjects, exemplifying 'Best work, First time' and our core value of respect, endlessly. Year 8 - Star of the Week Chloe Joubert has been chosen as year 8 Star of the Week for consistently demonstrating our school values of Respect, Excellence, and Ambition. Chloe is currently on 100% attendance and has achieved 589 house points this year and over 40 this week. She shows respect by always being kind and supportive to her peers and teachers, creating a positive and inclusive environment. Chloe's commitment to excellence is evident in her outstanding effort in class and the high standard of work she produces across all subjects. Furthermore, her ambition shines through in her determination to challenge herself, embrace new opportunities, and strive to achieve her best every day. Well done, Chloe! Keep up the fantastic work! Year 9 - Star of the Week Max Huntley. Max has come back to school this week with an excellent learning attitude! He has made a conscious effort to make sure his uniform is looking smart and also has equipment prepared for his school day. The comments from his subject teachers have been so positive, commenting on how much work he is producing and also the quality. Myself and his tutor could not be prouder! Year 11 - Star of the Week My Year 11 star of the week is Melyssa Wakefield. Melyssa is a very quiet, studious, and respectful member of year 11. Melyssa is often high on the house point list and misses out on the top slot. But this week she has reached it. Not only is she top of the house point list, she also has 100% attendance, and no behaviour points for the academic year so far. Melyssa is a shining example of a student that strives to always give her best first time. Well done Melyssa, you are a star. Mrs Morgan, Head of Year 11
This week our Learn & Grow team have been adding a much needed splash of colour to their garden. We look forward to watching the garden come alive as we move towards spring.
This week the wonderful Sarah Mills celebrated her 25th year working at the school. Over the years the school has had 3 name changes, a new school building and multiple Headteachers. Sarah is a highly respected and valued member of our community and we thank her for her continued service.

Year 10 - Star of the Week My star of the week is Florence Coombes. Florence has twice now achieved a grade 9 in her psychology end of topic tests, incredible! Florence has demonstrated incredible ability to not only retain concepts taught, she is then able to apply them to new situations. This clearly highlights Florence's incredible dedication to her studies, it also demonstrates her desire to work hard, achieve more to help her to reach her aspirations. Year 11 - Star of the Week. My year 11 star of the week goes to four boys, Callum Dixey, Charlie Young, Rhys Wright and Jack Dyke. Following a very successful 6th form taster day the boys were asked to take part in a football fixture as part of the 6th form team both on the day and this week.
