Governance

Sarum Academy is a Voluntary Controlled Church of England Academy and a member of the Magna Learning Partnership (MLP) Multi Academy Trust. Sarum Academy’s Academy Governance Committee (AGC) is appointed by, and reports to, the Magna Learning Partnership Trust Board. Its role is to provide focused governance for the Academy at a local level, and it does this by supporting, challenging and encouraging the school in three principal areas:

  • Vision, ethos and strategic direction

  • The educational performance of the school (students and staff)

  • The financial performance of the school

Academy Governance Committee

The Trust Board delegates (in accordance with the Scheme of Delegation) to the Academy Governance Committee (AGC) the responsibility for governance at a local level.

The Chair of the AGC is James Garforth.

The Academy Governance Committee will hold six meetings per annum.
